This is a story I wrote for my friend’s website about when love at first sight becomes hatred at the first hurdle. It’s based, of course, on my real life. This happens to me almost every day. So it might happen to you too. I hope I’m not just a mental. Please give it a little read.
An abiding-by-poetry-rules poem about a painting.
The whitewash goes on quick but slips; the paints All mix together. Canvas texture seems To hate to be altered, against the grain, Its purpose damned by grit and edges that Refuse to take the lash of rollers. Dreams Of ruling past adventures null and void Get nowhere. Partly wrecked but mostly left Indelible; pictures haunt away with Memories under a veil of blank matte. Apply more layers. When...
